Getting to Oak Bluffs

Martha's Vineyard is an Island, and the only ways to reach us is by
Ferry,
Private Boat, or
Airplane. The Port of Oak Bluffs is serviced by five ferries
lines arriving from Ports of Woods Hole, New Bedford, Hyannis, and Falmouth in
Massachusetts, and from Quonset Point in Rhode Island, making it easy to reach
our Victorian resort. Also, Oak Bluffs has excellent port facilities to
accommodate your private craft.
Cruise ships make frequent stops as well
during the summer. The Martha's Vineyard Airport provides commercial
airline service and facilities for private aircraft. You may reach the island by
a short plane ride from Boston, Hyannis, New Bedford, or Providence, RI. During the summer, additional flights are available from Newark, NJ, Laguardia,
NY, and Philadelphia, PA.
If you plan to bring your auto to the Island, the
Steamship Authority Ferry out of the port
of Woods Hole
(just outside Falmouth, MA) is the only service to carry autos. You will need a
reservation for your vehicle, and we suggest you contact the Steamship Authority
well in advance of your stay to make your reservation and avoid disappointment.
Nevertheless, when you
come to Oak Bluffs without your vehicle you will enjoy your stay, be able to
walk to everything, and explore the island with our excellent bus service,
